Beginning in 2016, the EMS in Copenhagen conducted a randomized clinical trial of an artificial intelligence agent to assist EMS telecommunicators recognize cardiac arrest. In this session, we will explore the lessons learned from that study. We will demonstrate how video can enhance the EMS telecommunicator accuracy, and we will show how the latest version of the AI software may improve the consistency among EMS telecommunicators handling 9-1-1 calls to connect patients more reliably with the right resources.
