Dr. Theresa Walls is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an attending physician in the emergency department (ED) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is passionate about pediatric readiness in the prehospital and ED settings and works at the local, regional, and national level to improve emergency care of children. She serves as the Medical Director of CHOP’s EMS Institute and as Liaison to EMS and Community EDs. She is a member of Pennsylvania’s EMS for Children Advisory Board and sits on the Pediatrics Committee of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), as well as the Prehospital and National Pediatric Readiness Steering Committees. She chairs the Pediatric Readiness Subcommittee of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Section on Emergency Medicine. When not busy with work, she enjoys spending time at the beach with her husband, four sons and two dogs.
