Dr. Drennan is a Paramedic Scientist, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. He is also an Affiliate Scientist at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre. Dr. Drennan is an experienced researcher in prehospital and resuscitation science with expertise in clinical trials and large registry datasets. He is currently leading a randomized controlled trial examining the impact of ventilations on patient outcomes from cardiac arrest. He is the Vice-Chair of the ALS Task Force for ILCOR, and Senior Science Editor for the 2025 AHA Guidelines for CPR.
