Jason Carlyon is the Community Engagement Manager for Yorkshire Ambulance Service in the UK. Jason has been in the UK ambulance services for 27 years and has held a number of roles in management since becoming an Emergency Care Practitioner (Advanced Paramedic) , including clinical management and resuscitation lead. In 2014, Jason initiated the Restart a Heart campaign in Yorkshire to teach CPR in schools. In 2016 that model was shared with all UK ambulance services. That same year, Yorkshire Ambulance Services partnered with Ambulance Victoria to launch the first international Restart a Heart activity prior to it becoming a global campaign in 2018. From 2017 until 2022, Jason was also employed by Resuscitation Council UK to lead the national Restart a Heart campaign. Since 2014 Yorkshire Ambulance Service have taught over 250,000 young people CPR through the Restart a Heart campaign.
