Summary: A disruptive new AED technology and approach will finally bring defibrillators into our homes, workplaces and recreational areas and effectively begin to close the current ‘Survival Gaps’ that exist within the Chain of Survival for many reasons.

Synopsis: Out of Hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrest results in us prematurely losing 3.8 million good people annually, ranging from the very young through to all ages. Survival rates currently only range from 5-10% in most locations, and sadly, most people are intimidated by bulky and expensive defibrillator (AED) technology.

Despite the best efforts of many truly dedicated people and organisations, and the expenditure of vast resources over the decades, nothing much has significantly changed when it comes to OHSCA survival rates, despite the sale of millions of Public Access Defibrillators (PAD).

The presenter will outline how the ‘Chain of Survival’ will now be able to work far more effectively when using the latest AED technology, and why the general public will be far more accepting of AED’s, which is vitally important considering approximately 80% of OHSCA’s occur in the home.

This presentation will provide you with a broader insight, and a tool and strategy that finally offers hope.

Attendees will learn why the current system of Public Access Defibrillators has been a costly statistical survival failure despite saving many lives and the best efforts of many good people.
Why 'Personal Access' Defibrillator technology will offer the best solution for closing the many survival gaps that currently exist within the Chain of Survival.
This presentation will include ways to educate citizens that can lead to a comprehensive change to a culture of excellence and improved CPR training in the community, schools and workplace.
