Dr. Joelle Donofrio-Odmann is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. She attended University of California Davis for undergraduate studies and medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine- California. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California, her Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, and her Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fellowship at University of California San Diego. She is currently the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for San Diego Fire-Rescue Department as well as the EMS Medical Director for Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego. She is involved with cardiac arrest and resuscitation throughout the system- from AED activation review with Project Heartbeat, to 911 dispatch optimization, prehospital care, and ED ECMO discussion - adult and pediatric. Together as a team we save lives.
