Louise Boyes has 31 years of experience in the communications industry, initially as a journalist, with the last 20 years in the ambulance service as a specialist in the field of internal and external communications as well as media relations. She has been responsible for devising and implementing the communications strategy for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Restart a Heart campaign since its inception in 2014 and has supported the roll-out of the initiative to a national and international audience.

The scale of this campaign, which teaches CPR to tens of thousands of schoolchildren on Restart a Heart Day every year, requires excellent planning, creativity and determination to ensure the communications strategy is effective and continues to sustain widespread media and social media interest to help achieve the strategic goal of saving more lives.
