BuddyCPR and StrataVerve
Orlando, FL, United States
Jennifer Chap is co-founder of BuddyCPR and StrataVerve, a marketing/consumer insights practice. She is a founding member of Heartsight, a trusted informational resource to reduce uncertainty and psychological trauma of anyone affected by cardiac arrest. In 2012, Jen came face-to-face with SCA when her husband Rick collapsed at home. Alerted by their cat Buddy, she dialed 911 and performed TCPR. The couple co-founded BuddyCPR named for their beloved cat, a vital link in a “purrfect” survival chain. Jen is a fierce advocate, donating her strategic marketing skills to organizations in the fight to save lives from SCA. She has performed pro bono national studies to assess public perceptions, awareness, and understanding of SCA/CPR/AEDs and messaging that motivates public action. She’s a volunteer CPR instructor for Orlando Fire Department. As a co-survivor/lay rescuer, Jen believes, “Surviving SCA is not the end goal—living is.” Jen is proud to be part of Heartsight to support recovery.
