Meet Dr. Will Flanary and Kristin Flanary, aka "Dr. Glaucomflecken" and "Lady Glaucomflecken" - the dynamic duo shaking up the healthcare industry with humor and heart.

By the ripe old age of 35, Will had already survived not one but two cancer diagnoses and a sudden cardiac arrest. His better half, Kristin, became his caregiver and "co-survivor," navigating the turbulent waters of medical trauma with him. In 2020, Kristin saved Will's life when she found him dying in bed and performed CPR for ten minutes. Kristin turned her experiences into advocacy for fellow survivors and co-survivors. Her efforts earned her a slew of awards, including an EMS Cardiac Arrest Save Challenge Coin, the Citizen CPR Foundation's 40 Under 40 award, and the American Heart Association's Resuscitation Champion award.



Meanwhile, Will turned to his comedy skills to cope with his health challenges, eventually creating the alter ego of "Dr. Glaucomflecken." This character began as a way to share painfully specific ophthalmology jokes but has since evolved to poke fun at the absurdities of the US healthcare system and the personal conflicts that can plague medical professionals. Along the way, he has amassed a social media following of over 4 million people. Today, Will and Kristin travel the world as keynote speakers and co-host the medical comedy podcast "Knock Knock, Hi! with the Glaucomfleckens." They're not afraid to tackle taboo topics with a healthy dose of humor while using their social media savvy and multimedia skills to promote compassion and humanity in healthcare.
