Mary McCormack DNP, FNP-C, is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Molloy University and she practices as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Northwell Health. Mary dedicated her doctoral studies towards improving patient outcomes from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and is the project lead for the Rockville Centre, NY HEARTSafe Community program. As the HEARSafe Committee Chair, Mary is responsible for overseeing all the various components of the HEARTSafe initiative as well as securing grant funding. Mary frequently collaborates with the American Heart Association's Community Impact Director as well as with local and national advocacy groups. Along with the project team, Mary has disseminated results from the HEARTSafe Community project via podium and poster presentations at professional conferences as well as publishing an article in a scholarly journal.
