Despite each hospital having its own culture related to resuscitation responses, there are some constants throughout each and every one, and at the heart of it all, are nurses driving the response. Nurses are encouraged to come to an interactive session with cardiac resuscitation nurse leaders to have open and interactive dialogue regarding various resuscitation topics to support nurse empowerment during resuscitation events, innovations in care, discuss common barriers in-hospital, and how to prevent them.

There may be barriers to administrative support for training, running mock codes, driving innovation and change related to resuscitation responses, and how do we best support our patients to optimize our response when they need us to be at our best? Learning from resuscitation nurse specialists that have navigated many barriers, and can help to share current best practices, and insight on how to help get to the next level. This will be an interactive session, with nurses sharing their issues, sharing advice, and supporting one another to optimize care. At the end of the session nurses will leave feeling empowered with tangible pearls of wisdom to take back to their practice, and support change and innovation in cardiac arrest care at their hospital.
